Meet Brandon Roberts, Ph.D.
Founder and CEO, Premier Insights

Dr. Brandon A. Roberts, a 2005 Ph.D. graduate from the School of Economic, Political, and Policy Sciences at The University of Texas at Dallas, is a recognized leader in advanced analytics and financial regulatory consulting. As the founder, president, and principal of Premier Insights, Inc., established in 1995, and its subsidiary Radiant Lending Technologies, Dr. Roberts has over 30 years of experience delivering data-driven solutions to financial institutions. His expertise at the intersection of economic systems, markets, and policy frameworks enables him to transform complex data into actionable insights, helping organizations navigate regulatory challenges and mitigate risk.

Dr. Roberts’ scholarly journey began with a passion for applying analytical rigor to real-world problems. His research has been published in journals, including Review of Policy Research, International Journal of Bank Marketing, Health Economics, and Urban Studies, and his work has been featured in books such as Public Policy Research Trends and Regional Economics. His insights have also appeared in trade publications like Mississippi Banker and Memphis Business Journal, and he has often been cited as a source in banking-related media. A versatile analyst, Dr. Roberts employs econometric modeling, geo-demographic studies, survey research, and GIS technology, while leading Premier Insights’ evolution into technology, integrating complex statistical analyses with machine learning and artificial intelligence to address emerging challenges.

Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Roberts’ training as an instrument-rated pilot has instilled discipline and precision, qualities that shape his high-stakes decision-making and innovative approaches at Premier Insights. His entrepreneurial spirit and Ph.D. training in Political Economy have driven solutions that empower institutions to succeed in complex environments. Dr. Roberts has also served as adjunct faculty at Mississippi College, where he holds a Master’s in Applied Sociology.
